Steven G. Scheinfeld, General Counsel and Chair of the Board

Rabbi Joy Levitt is the Chief Executive Officer of The Jerusalem Foundation, Inc.

She previously served on the Foundation’s Board of Directors, and is the former longtime CEO of the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan. Joy holds a bachelor’s degree from Barnard College, a master’s degree from New York University, and rabbinical ordination from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. The author of numerous scholarly articles and an opinion contributor to numerous global publications, Joy also served as the first female President of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association.

Alan G. Hassenfeld is Chair Emeritus of The Jerusalem Foundation, Inc., and Chairman Emeritus of Hasbro, Inc., where he served as Chairman of the Board of from 1989 to 2008.

Prior to May 2003, Mr. Hassenfeld served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Hasbro since 1999, and Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hasbro since1989. He also served as Vice President of International Operations in 1972 and later served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales and then as Executive Vice President, prior to being named President of the Company in 1984 and President and Chief Executive Officer in 1989. He has also served as a Director of Salesforce since December 2003. Mr. Hassenfeld is also Chairman Emeritus of the International Council of Toy Industries Ethical Toy Program and Co-Chairman of the International Business School at Brandeis University. Mr. Hassenfeld received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Rabbi Joy Levitt, CEO

Steven G. Scheinfeld was elected as Chair of the Board of The Jerusalem Foundation, Inc. in June of 2024. He has previously served as the Foundation’s General Counsel for more than twenty years.

Steve is a Partner at Fried Frank Harris Shriver and Jacobson, where he is Global Chair of the firm’s Corporate Department and advises clients in various industries in connection with public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, financings and complex strategic partnerships. Steve is active in the boardroom community and was named a NACD Corporate Governance Fellow and recognized as a leading advisor in their “Directorship 100.” He is consistently recognized by Legal 500 in M&A: Mega-Deals and has been recognized in Capital Markets: Equity Offerings and Real Estate: Private Equity and Corporate.
